How to Set Up Foam Dog Stairs | ZONFLON

Set up your foam dog stairs
Remove the packaging
Take the compressed foam and cover out of the box. Remove all plastic and packaging materials carefully.
Fit the fabric cover
Start at the top step and pull the cover evenly over the foam. Align the corners and seams before closing the zipper slowly.
Allow the foam to expand
Place the stairs on a clean, flat surface and allow 24–48 hours for full rebound. Temporary creases or compression marks are normal.
Position the stairs securely
Place the non-slip base on a dry, stable indoor floor and push the stairs directly against the couch or bed.
Help your pet build confidence
Use treats and calm, positive encouragement. Let your pet become comfortable at their own pace.
Care instructions
- Remove the outer cover before washing.
- Machine wash the fabric cover on a gentle cycle with mild detergent.
- Do not machine wash or soak the foam core.
- Allow the cover to dry completely before reinstalling.
- Use indoors on a stable, flat surface.
Common questions
The foam still looks compressed. What should I do?
Allow a full 24–48 hours at room temperature. Gently smoothing the foam by hand and keeping it on a flat surface can help it recover.
The cover feels tight.
A snug fit helps keep the cover stable. Align the top corners first, pull the fabric down evenly and close the zipper without forcing it.
The stairs move on the floor.
Make sure the floor and non-slip base are clean and dry. Position the stairs flush against the furniture before use.
My dog is unsure about using the stairs.
Introduce the stairs slowly with treats and praise. Never force or pull your pet onto the steps.
