Unpack, close the pre-fitted inner liner, then fit and zip the outer cover. Leave flat in a well-ventilated spot for 24–48 hours while the foam expands.

For outdoor rest, bring the bed inside rather than leaving it exposed to heavy rain for long periods. Supervise pets that chew bedding and remove damaged pieces before they can be swallowed. Keep away from fire.
